Provides clerical assistance in support of processes and operations as it relates to all functions of the Human Resource Services department and maintaining human resources and payroll related documents.
Greets visitors, answers phones, takes messages, routes calls and follows-up, responds to inquiries and/or refers as appropriate to include but not limited to employment verifications and employment opportunities with the university. Prepares and processes employment verifications. Provides informational assistance to prospective and current employees; assists with the completion of application forms; reviews applications and related documentation to ensure compliance with university policies and governmental regulations; advises applicants regarding outstanding documentation and assist in the resolution of discrepancies. Maintains pending employment filing systems for all confidential payroll and personnel related documents, including employment applications, I-9's, W4s, transcripts, employment verifications, etc. Assists with the copying, distribution and mailing of job announcements and advertising materials as well as job opening listings and postings. Processes immigration documents and follow up notices to staff and faculty. Provides backup clerical assistance as needed, including computer input, proofing, copying and distribution of personnel documentation; prepares and distributes routine correspondence. Complies with all State and University policies. Other duties may be assigned.

Bilingual (English/Spanish). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office.
