To provide administrative and professional nursing support for a designated patient care population and to coordinate and supervise assigned nursing personnel in the absence of the nursing supervisor. Responsible for managing and coordinating various activities necessary for an efficient patient care process.
Provides direct patient care in medical clinic, women's clinic, and immunization clinic. Provides patient education and counseling on treatment, prevention, and healthy lifestyles. Maintains nursing operations in accordance with Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) standards. Conducts quality improvement studies to improve both process and outcomes of medical interventions. In the absence of the nursing supervisor, provides direct supervision to nursing staff to include temporary nurses. Maintains the nursing schedule to ensure adequate staffing at all times. Assists with coordination of athletic physicals, patient referral tracking, flu and TB outreach programs. Proctors Kinesiology students during clinical rotations at the Health Center.

Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a current Texas nursing license. 2 years of nursing experience required.
