To assist the Intelligence and National Security Studies Program through the teaching and development of traditional and online/hybrid courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Student supervision and support, as well as course and curriculum development of INSS courses. Present a portfolio at the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETAL) colloquium presentation. Teach both undergraduate and graduate online and hybrid courses as well as classes taught in a traditional face-to-face interaction. Responsible for teaching at least 32 TLCs over the 24-month period of the fellowship. Complies with all State and University policies. Other duties may be assigned.

Only applicants who have received a Ph.D. in a relevant social sciences discipline within the last three years will be considered for this Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship. The successful applicant will have demonstrated subject matter expertise and the ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: intelligence studies, national security affairs, transnational threats (e.g., terrorism and insurgency, criminal networks, proliferation, or cyber warfare), strategic theory, low-intensity conflict, influence operations, and emerging security threats. The ability to teach graduate courses examining the security dimensions of key strategic regions of the world (e.g., Middle and Near East, South and Central Asia, East Asia, or sub-Saharan Africa) would be highly desired. This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
