Additional Information

Purpose

Serve as a member of a team to develop and deliver professional development and technical assistance to K-12 teachers and administrators.

Essential Functions

Provide technical assistance and professional development to K-12 educators and administrators, using a wide range of delivery and dissemination strategies. Design, develop, and coordinate comprehensive professional development to meet the needs of district clients in the areas of standards, policy implementation, and leadership. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate the delivery of professional development modules and other training and planning activities with teachers, leaders, and districts. Work in a collaborative team to design and develop new research-based products and professional development programs. Serve as liaison with related local and interstate projects and leaders. Provide input and feedback on the development of marketing and informational publications. Manage budgets and coordinate programs or projects. Participate in cross-functional teams and perform related functions as assigned.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree, teaching certification, and seven years of combined experience in K-12 classroom teaching, campus or district level program administration, and design and delivery of professional development. Demonstrated knowledge of K-12 core area state and national standards and adult learning techniques. Experience managing a program or project in a diverse K-12 campus or district. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups. Demonstrated professional demeanor, including appropriate office attire as required. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member, independently, and with overlapping projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Education and ten years of combined experience in K-12 classroom teaching, campus and or district level program administration, and design and delivery of professional development. Experience designing and delivering professional development in leadership, mathematics, or science education. Experience using standard office software and email. Experience in leading a successful K-12 school reform effort.

Working conditions

May work around standard office conditions Lifting and moving Interstate travel, including air travel and use of personal or rental vehicle; occassional weekend, evening, or overtime work.
