Purpose

Assist LUCHA Program staff with Mexican high school curricula comparison to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).

Essential Functions

Assist in the coordination of the Mexican high school curricula comparison to the TEKS. Update, review, and maintain the LUCHA curriculum database.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and three years of clerical experience, or High School graduation or GED and seven years of clerical experience. Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Knowledge of the Texas and Mexico high school systems. Proficient in high school math and science. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5 years experience in curriculum and instruction and, or teaching at the high school level or Master's degree in Education, Math, Science or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of Mexican high school academic standards and high school Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills - TEKS. Experience teaching high school math and, or science in Mexico and, or the US. Experience working with school curricula.
