Assist the Director and other staff of the Center for Research in Electronic Commerce (CREC) with administrative functions. Provide skilled assistance in identifying research opportunities, creating and preparing for publication.
Assist with the administration of contracts and grants for the Center. Use the National Science Foundation's FastLane to prepare and/or submit proposals, project reports, and other administrative functions as directed by grant guidelines or the CREC Director. Assist Director and other faculty researchers in preparing presentations using presentation software such as Microsoft PowerPoint or Apple Keynote. On occasion, edit papers for journals, grant proposals, etc for clarity, grammar, structure and readability. Identify and evaluate web based applications such as electronic commerce and social networking sites for research potential.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, or high school graduation or GED, and five years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office products. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work well as a team member. Demonstrated ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail and follow instructions without close supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science or other related fields. Broad knowledge of electronic commerce and social networking sites and their uses. Experience working with contracts and grants. Experience with the National Science Foundation's FastLane. Experience preparing spreadsheets. Spelling score of 80; typing score of 90.
