Provide highly skilled Facilities related technical resources to support to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Facilities Management, Directors, and Assistant Directors of the department.
Be a technical resource for directors. Consolidate different filing systems,each having overlapping resources. Assist with CAD drawing. Maintain and organize construction project files; file project specifications neat and orderly in designated area. Support directors with reconciling projects. Maintain spreadsheet to track Custodial contracts for renewal of biding purposes, etc. Follow up with student tenants pertaining to housing units, repairs and verify job complete. Converse and document response and remediation of an action of repair. Research data including best practices in other housing maintenance and custodial operations. Provide computer-aided drafting assistance CAD with basic drawings. Assist with maintaining documentation of City of Arlington matters; easements, right-of-ways, etc.

Bachelor's degree and 2 years upper level technical support experience or High School graduation with 6 years increasingly responsible experience. One year of computer aided drafting (CAD)and one year of work experience in CAD. Advanced experience with MS Office applications and including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of and experience with DEFINE (UT Arlington data management/accounting system). Experience in construction or facilities-related administrative support, preferably in an educational environment. Experience with project management worksheets for project scheduling and producing graphs from data spreadsheets. Excellent communication skills. Experience working directly for upper-level (Executive) Managers, Directors or similar. Experience acting as a representative for a Manager or Director when dealing with external companies, agencies, and clients.
