To provide physical therapy services to patients seen at UHS Physical Therapy department. Provide instruction and supervision to Physical Therapy Aide, Athletic Trainer, and student volunteers.
Evaluates the neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and functional status of patients referred to the department and applies the appropriate physical therapy treatments. Manages the Physical Therapy department to ensure optimal performance and provides supervision. Maintains patient health records. Maintains a level of knowledge conductive of providing high quality patient care. Exhibits exceptional customer service, professionalism, and team work in all aspects of work. Actively participates in maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance pattern.

Bachelors Degree in physical therapy (PT) and a minimum of three years experience as a PT. A license to practice PT in the state of Texas. Two years experience in an outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine setting. One year experience supervising PT Assistants and/or Athletic Trainers. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a diverse community and provide services from a non-judgmental perspective. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Master's or Doctoral Degree in physical therapy (PT) and 5 years experience in an outpatient orthopedic and/or sports medicine setting. A Physical Therapy Specialist Certification in Sports and/or Orthopedics. Experience managing a PT Department in an outpatient setting.
