To provide administrative support and management and database administration within the Texas Interdisciplinary Plan office, College of Natural Sciences.
Manage or process all activities for the human resources, purchasing, financial, and budgetary functions for the office. Work extensively in developing and maintaining Filemaker databases, Excel spreadsheets and Word Press websites. Office management through supervision of student office assistants, management of space allocations, and tracking physical inventory. Coordinate student-centered special events.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in an administrative role. Experience managing budgets, keeping organized records, and planning events. Ability to multi-task and operate under high-pressure situations. Ability to make complex office decisions, with little direction, as well as work within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to communicate with different constituents. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Experience maintaining and creating web content using WordPress. Mastery of UT Human Resources (HRMS) and Financial Systems (Define, FRMS, PointPlus), including creation of employee assignments, payment and travel vouchers, and UT Market orders. Extensive experience in database creation, data management (FileMaker), and computer applications. Prior experience working in a college/university setting. Knowledge or experience of how to keep an office running efficiently; supervisory experience.
