Purpose

Under general supervision, assists in with program and goals. This position provides coordinating services, keeps official records, and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials. Assists with planning, supervising, and coordinating functions within area of grant activities.

Essential Functions

Responsible for establishing program goals and objectives; developing program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving program goals; evaluating program activities; developing budget requests; and coordinating program activities. Assists in the development, organization, and oversight of designated programs. Evaluates programs and suggests modifications. Assists with scheduling events and coordinating activities to include catering services and communication equipment setup. Assists with preparing budgets and maintaining financial records for reconciliation; compiles estimated cost models and submits preliminary budget; may approve funding for program activities. Performs data entry, processing payments (i.e., requisitions and purchase orders), and running reports as needed. Determines appropriate responses to problems and emergencies. Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls that provides reasonable assurance those operations are effective and efficient, assets are safeguarded and financial information is reliable and applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures are complied with. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems. Complies with all State and University policies.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four year college or university within area of assigned responsibility. One year related experience to the statement of duties and responsibilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
