Produce an outcome that allows team achievement of the strategic objectives for The Corporate and Government Learning Solutions Group at the Professional Development Center. Actively pursue sales and business development activities and develop and maintain government and corporate accounts for PDC within CIE.

Essential Functions

Qualify leads and build a network of new opportunities and clients. Identify and make contact with potential customers, meet with clients, and actively listen to their challenges. Respond to sales requirements from existing and potential customers. Coordinate with client subject matter experts in order to receive the agnostic requirements for the service. Formally document the requirements for both internal and client records. Monitor curricula development, if needed, and ensure that all instructor, site contact, and materials fulfillment communication is clearly documented by using the various tools for the respective processes. Account maintenance, to ensure repeat business and to nurture long term relationships. Attend conferences and tradeshows.Network with prospective clients,partners.Represent and promote PDC programs at exhibits through innovative and cost effective marketing and networking.Collaborate on marketing ideas with the internal team and any partner opportunities. Identify new topics, training or consulting opportunities, instructors, and trends.Provide public outreach presentations. Maintain company contact management database with accurate, up-to-date contact and activity details. Ensure that your client progress, sales goals, lead generation and client calls are all measurable and evident from metrics. Responsible for ensuring that all required course and class information is entered into the tools necessary for the success of your program. All projects assigned to you by Leadership.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree with five years of successfully demonstrated sales and business development experience or High School Diploma or GED with nine years successfully demonstrated sales and business development experience. Demonstrated ability to translate client needs and wants into creative solutions. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with marketing, market research, and program coordinators to create a client solution. Ability to plan, schedule, and execute the entire sales process from start to finish. Demonstrated ability to optimize the sales process including individual product sales, solution sales, bundled sales, and up selling.Demonstrated ability to follow-up on leads and develop relationships from cold calls through to close. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of personnel,internally and externally. Demonstrated ability to identify, plan, and track sales opportunities and meet and exceed sales goals. Strong organizational skills and a high level of detail orientation. Ability to speak in front of people, and respond under tight deadlines. Ability to operate with little supervision. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office skills. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and more than five years of successfully demonstrated sales and business development experience. Experience in selling services related to training, development, and educational products. Experience with current project management terminology and leadership theory. Experience with a variety of industries and government agencies. Experience negotiating contracts with executive level management employees. Experience utilizing customer relationship management systems like Experience utilizing social media tools to support the sales process.
