The primary purposes of the position are to provide effective leadership and administration of a specialized aspect of development, stewardship, donor relations and prospect management; to assist with operations and functions of the department and to provide administrative support for the Associate Vice Chancellor.
Provide administrative support for Associate Vice Chancellor and Directors; schedule and attend meetings and initiate follow-up as needed; organize and prepare meeting materials; assist Associate Vice Chancellor with overall workflow management; draft emails, correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets; respond to phone inquires; serve as back-up for preparing agenda items relating to namings. Collaborate with fundraising team to develop and implement stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with donors; identify and develop recognition opportunities; oversee administrative aspects of stewardship and recognition activities; attend stewardship events as needed. Build and expand the prospect base and play an integral role in developing a prospect pipeline; perform quantitative analysis to determine capacity, philanthropic inclination and connection to UT System and work with fundraising team to develop prospect plan based on this information. Maintain private giving updates from the UT System institutions for projects included in the Capital Improvement Program. Organize, coordinate and maintain the integrity of hard copy filing system for donor records. Work with Records and Information Management Analyst to adhere to retention and destruction policy. Work with cross-departmental team to create, develop and manage content for department website. Assist with Chancellor's Council related projects, including compiling notebooks, preparing meeting packets, scheduling meetings and orientations, drafting correspondence, proofing materials, ordering membership plaques and pins and other miscellanious responsibilities.. Assist with special projects, including System Seminar; work with Development Writer to update content of online develoment notebook and to provide access to UT institution users; attend and assist with events as needed.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a related field with one year of related experience or high school diploma or GED equivalent with five years of related experience. Related experience must include at least one year of development, fundraising, trust or estate administration or closely related experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including experience composing correspondence. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong organizational skills and understanding of systems and processes. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent customer service orientation, time management and prioritization skills. Raiser's Edge and higher education experience.
