To provide administrative support for the Institute's New Politics Forum's educational outreach programs. Will be assigned to support education, marketing, event planning, community outreach, strategic partnerships and more. Looking for someone who can help produce first-class, professional, nonpartisan events.
Support program design and event execution. Coordinate logistics, including participant, vendor and speaker relations. Create new curriculum, activities, and engagement platforms with the goal of creating more voters and better citizens. Generate and manage publicity. Market the program to multiple audiences. Community outreach through speaking, presenting, and facilitating discussions. Maintain all websites and media platforms. Create and implement innovative communication plan which engages new participants, current students and faculty, political professionals, and program alumni. Managing existing and creating new strategic partnerships with academic institutions, teachers/faculty, student groups, and community organizations. Engage program alumni. Write and edit reports, media releases and other materials as needed. Produce new media content such as videos, graphics, posters and flyers.

High school graduation or GED. Three years of experience with clerical functions. Customer service experience with excellent problem solving skills. Developed interest in political and civic life. Must be politically savvy and be confident in one's ability to know the boundaries of working in a political environment, but remain nonpartisan. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor's Degree. Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with program coordination, grant management, event planning and advance. Strong command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Google Docs, Powerpoint, and Drupal. Experience with external communications and marketing via email and social media. Experience with Photoshop, graphic design, website management. Experience creating and editing videos. Knowledge of basic accounting, billing and reporting expenditures. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, many with deadlines. Ability to take initiative, work with limited supervision, and to provide quick responses.
