Provide lab management for NSC Research Methods and in the office for Honors, Research, and International Study within the College of Natural Sciences. Support expansion of these courses and maintain a chemical and supply stockroom.
Set up laboratory equipment for class instruction needs. Monitor, maintain, issue and order all necessary supplies and equipment for the laboratory. Maintain all assigned equipment. Act as primary equipment and supplies contact for users and vendors. Act as Safety Officer and primary contact for EHS. Assist with training and mentoring of undergraduate teaching assistants.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated experience managing long and short term goals and projects. Superb communications skills; ability to interact with all UT constituencies. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor's degree in a science field. Two years of experience in laboratory material/ equipment management or lab supervisory work, with some experience acquired at The University of Texas at Austin. Strong background in chemical safety. Ability to manage and organize large equipment storerooms.
