To provide routine clerical skills in the performance of office tasks routine in nature and covered by established policies and procedures. Responsible for routine secretarial and clerical assignments.
Answers phones and speaks with people in person; schedules appointments for students with undergraduate and graduate advisors; helps maintain student records; prepares department forms, such as grade change and class roll adjustments. Monitors and maintains adequate levels of office supplies using procard and reconciles procard purchases; prepares purchase orders for items over procard limit and maintains records. Uses the PeopleSoft MyMav system to monitor enrollments, provide information and assistance to undergraduate advisor, and assist students with information regarding classes and enrollments. Supports faculty in the preparation of the department's annual student award ceremony each spring.
Other functions as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent. 6 months of secretarial/clerical experience.
