Provide support of institutional policy making, planning, evaluation and decision making through the design and execution of institutional research projects, including data gathering, data analysis and interpretation, data presentation and reporting.

Essential Functions

Assist in the compilation of a repository of research information from national, state, component and internal databases. Work with providers and IT professionals to insure the integrity of the data in the repository. Retrieve and analyze data using analytical and statistical methods and simulation models as necessary. Test design analytical methods and make recommendations for utilization. Prepare spreadsheets and graphs to facilitate interpretation of data and prepare narratives and reports on research results. Assist in the planning, development and coordination of the publications, including web-based publication, and other statistical reports. Assist with the retrieval and compilation of data for quantitative studies of institutional and system effectiveness and with routine and ad hoc information requests.

Required qualifications

Bachelors degree and three years of previous work experience in data processing and analysis is required. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and knowledge of Federal and state research and regulatory processes; and experience and knowledge of university compliance activities.

Working conditions

May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Work is performed in an office environment. Uses personal computer and other standard office equipment.
