Acts as receptionist, schedules appointments, maintains medical records and other duties as assigned.
Acts as receptionist, welcomes and greets clients who check-in for appointments, as well as visitors to the Center and refers to appropriate areas. Schedules appointments using a computerized clinical scheduling system. Assists in the management of clinical records, assists CMHC clinicians with their requests and provides clerical support as required for the Counseling and Mental Health Center.
Other related functions as assigned.
High school graduation or GED. Two years of experience with clerical functions. (Bachelor's degree substitutes for up to four years of the AMOUNT of experience above; however, the KIND of experience is required. Fifteen undergraduate hours substitute for six months of experience, up to three and one-half years.) Experience as a receptionist, entering data, and using a multi-line telephone system. Experience with face-to-face customer service in a high stress, fast paced office environment that requires team work with a high level of multi-tasking. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated strong customer service experience. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential materials with integrity. Skills scores -Spelling (minimum score of 90 requested) Typing (minimum score of 40 wpm requested) Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
More than the required two years of experience in a mental health setting or other public agency. Experience with medical records and experience assisting students. Experience with a variety of professionals with different levels of responsibility. Spelling score of 90.
