To provide administrative support and management as office manager within the Texas Interdisciplinary Plan office.
Manage or process all activities for the human resources, purchasing, financial, and budgetary functions for the office. Maintain student Filemaker databases, Excel spreadsheets and Word Press websites. Supervise student office assistants, manage space allocations, and track physical inventory. Coordinate student-centered special events.
Other related functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in an administrative role. Experience managing budgets, keeping organized records, and planning events. Ability to multi-task and operate under high-pressure situations. Ability to make complex office decisions, with little direction, as well as work within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to communicate with different constituents. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Mastery of UT Human Resources (HRMS) and Financial Systems (Define, FRMS, PointPlus), including creation of employee assignments, payment and travel vouchers, and UT Market orders. Experience in data entry applications (FileMaker, Python). Experience updating web content using WordPress. Knowledge or experience of how to keep an office running efficiently. Experience supervising students. Prior experience working in a college/university setting.
