Additional Information

Purpose

To provide advanced professional counseling, outreach, and consultation services.

Essential Functions

Complete initial assessment, evaluate presenting problems and recommend appropriate treatment for individuals and groups. Provide individual and group counseling to address personal, academic and career concerns. Select appropriate assessments based on presenting concerns. Select, administer, and interpret assessments. Conduct on average 1 to 2 workshops a week related to personal, academic, and career development. Responsible for conducting research and facilitating group presentation. Consult with UT Arlington faculty, staff, and students.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent in psychology, counseling, social work, or related discipline. 2 years of experience in a counseling setting. Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or higher with a professional license in psychology, social work or counseling.

Working conditions

May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with occasional shifts of 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Criminal background check conducted.
