As a member of the ITS Applications Web and Contract Services Team, will support the UT Austin community in software development projects by providing technical solutions for departments and colleges. Apply campus security and accessibility standards to all projects.
Plan, develop, migrate, and deploy Drupal websites, meeting all requirements with respect to quality, schedule, accessibility, performance, and security; including developing and maintaining Drupal themes, content types, and views. Provide support to users publishing to ITS-hosted websites, including maintaining web applications and providing updates or small enhancements as required. Use formal project management practices, providing regular schedule, milestone, and implementation updates. Provide consistently excellent customer service to all customers. Gather requirements, size work efforts, perform appropriate system analysis, and document project plans and tasks, constructing necessary bids and statements of work. Enhance technical skills with respect to content management systems, applications, and database analysis, design, and integration.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Two years of systems design, analysis and programming or developing Web-based applications, including experience developing sites in or providing support for customers using a Content Management System (e.g., Drupal, Wordpress). Expertise with scripting languages such as Perl and PHP and a least one of the following: Python, Java, Apache. Experience with UNIX shell scripting: sh, csh, ksh, bash. Demonstration of strong customer-facing and listening skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, in a team oriented environment. Demonstration of consistently meeting deadlines and following through with projects and assignments to completion. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
