To provide basic clerical skills in the performance of office tasks routine in nature and covered by established policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Serves as receptionist. Answers telephone and routes calls. Answers routine questions regarding policies, procedures and operations in the College of Science. Performs routine miscellaneous clerical tasks, such as filing, opening and distributing mail, faxing information and typing. Posts and maintains records, files and ledgers, some of which may be confidential in nature. Operates standard office machines and equipment.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

High School Graduation or equivalent. No experience required. Use of personal computer and standard office equipment. Preferred Qualifications

Previous university experience. Experience working in a customer service environment. Excellent communication skills.
