Additional Information

Purpose

Assist in the management, training and support of all University Policies within the Hand Book of Operating Procedures (HOP), all Departmental Procedures and Forms within the Procedure's Master Index, provide training/support in Records Information Management and the processing of all University Open Records requests

Essential Functions

Work directly with various UT Arlington upper administrators or designated representatives and with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) in Austin, Tx in the processing of all open records requests for UT Arlington. Provide support to UT Arlington's President's Office, the Division of Business Affairs, Office of Human Resources, Administrative and Campus Operations and other departments on campus with the development and maintenance of all changes related to the Handbook of Operational Procedures (HOP), and all Departmental Operating Procedures and Forms which are listed in the Procedure's Master Index. Provide management, training and support of the Records Information Management (RIM) program for all departments on campus. Ensures that all UT Arlington Records Management Contacts (RMC's) are trained and receives the proper guidance in the area of records management.

Marginal/Incidental functions

May drive a UTA vehicle. Other functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree. 3 years of procedures development, records management, or technical writing experience. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree with an emphasis or specialization in Records and Information Management or similar. Experience using document management systems. Strong writing and editing skills. Ability to work with others. Project management experience. Excellent technical writing and editing skills. Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively with a variety of people, individually and in teams. Familiarity and a high level of comfort with a wide variety of software programs. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in an organized manner. Some personnel management skills recommended. Demonstrated knowledge of administrative and logistical support methods and ability to provide such support. Valid class C driver's license.
