To manage, develop, direct and evaluate assigned projects and plans, with emphasis on time schedule control, coordination of project development and implementation, and communication with management and designated clients.

Essential Functions

Manages, develops, directs and evaluates assigned projects utilizing accepted project management methodologies and communication and consultation with clients, project team members and other stakeholders. Develops project plans including project life cycle, budgets, resource requirements, change management processes, risk management, key milestones, communication mechanisms, test plans and deliverable. Lead application, functional, infrastructure or technology project teams, with the responsibility for small to midsize projects that require collaboration of multiple staff during project life-cycle. Works independently and exercises good judgment. Recognizes what needs to be done; responds effectively and in a timely manner. Demonstrates flexibility and creativity in effectively addressing both internal and external challenges.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years of project management experience in relevant area of assignment. Demonstrated ability to deliver software projects on schedule and meet customer expectations. Demonstration of strong customer-facing and listening skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated creative problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, in a team oriented environment. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in IT project management and two years of experience with web application development and/or project management. More than 5 years of experience in IT project management in a large enterprise environment. Demonstrated ability to drive effective results in a diverse and challenging environment. Demonstrated ability in motivating others, managing conflict. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, concurrent assignments. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
