General Notes

TPA staff work a reduced schedule during June and July each year. This position will reduce to 20 hours per week during those months. Compensation commensurate with hours worked. Selection made by committee upon review of application materials and results of interviews. Hiring decision contingent upon clearance of security background check. Work hours vary to accommodate Center's schedule.

Provide managerial support of the Ticket Office regarding Broadway Across America, Concerts and other ticketed events.

Essential Functions

Support and assist the Ticketing Services Manager in the distribution and sale of tickets, and in the coordination and supervision of ticket sellers. Responsible for relieving the Manager of routine and complex tasks related to ticket sales and distribution. Provide administrative and on-site supervision to ticket sellers. Serve as primary contact for Broadway Across America performances, concert events, and other ticketed events. Provide daily counts to promoters and show partners. Submit sales numbers to industry and trade publications. Successfully work with Student Engagement Coordinator to setup Texas Performing Arts Package on-sales and Ticketing Systems Manager for organizing TPAP information. Provide services as primary liaison for Texas Box Office, University Interscholastic League and Broadwat Across America inventory transfers. Perform other related ticketing functions and tasks as assigned.

Other related ticketing functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree. One year of experience in ticket sales. Experience working with an automated ticketing system. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of ticketing management experience in a multi venue organization. Supervisory experience. One year of experience using the Paciolan ticketing system. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and PCs. Proven ability to effectively maintain productive relationships and deliver valued services to multiple peer organizations of varying capabilities and with different requirements. Demonstrated positive attitude, flexibility with working assignments, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills.
