Additional Information

Purpose

To provide general administrative assistance to the Office of Facilities, Planning and Construction office in the daily departmental operations.

Essential Functions

Provide general administrative assistance to the Office of Facilities, Planning and Construction Harlingen office in the daily departmental operations. Receive, screen, and route call. Open, sort, and distribute mail. Coordinate travel arrangements including preparing travel reimbursement documents. Assemble and organize material. Maintains office filing system. Scans and files documents for OFPC's document management system. Maintain calendars and schedule meetings. Order office supplies. Route and process payment applications.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Occasional travel to other OFPC job sites. Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent and one year administrative experience. Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent typing, spelling, grammar, composition, and editing skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products including Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years administrative experience. Familiarity with project management computer software and electronic file management. Ability to work independently.
