Assist Director of the Mathematics Learning Resource Center by providing day-to-day management of the core resources of the center.
Assist with day-to-day managing the lab, this includes hiring tutors, training tutors, walking through the lab periodically to make sure everyone is one track. Scheduling subs when tutors need to take off or are sick, etc. Help maintain the Office of Information Technology automatic batch process, including the placement exam daily batch loads of students into the system and exporting scores out of the system. Making sure they hit MyMav accordingly for registration. Facilitating the students that need a second attempt for engineering programs or students who need access to the test but TSI scores have not posted yet. Making sure that rosters match at the onset of each course, etc. Assist with redevelopment of the developmental mathematics curriculum. Learn specialized software and assist instructors with development. Offer assistance to students visiting the Resource Center with issues like dual credit, TSI, grade issues, access, etc. Coordinate training for instructors, lab TAs, and students on various lab software.
Other functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the department or program being supported. Two years of experience in a related area. Bachelor's degree in mathematics or familiarity with Pearson math products. Knowledge of Academic Course Guide Manual requirements for objectives and research best practices.
