Purpose

To support corporate, alumni and donor cultivation and stewardship efforts by providing proactive communications, event and relationship management services.

Essential Functions

Assists in meeting funding goals by developing and solidifying strategic partnerships and positive constituent relationships with proactive research, outreach, anticipation of needs and interests, strong communications and detailed follow through. Coordinates meetings, travel and visits with key constituents, including summaries and next steps. Assists with developing and tracking programmatic grant proposals. Benchmarks and analyzes peer programs. Provides proactive project management and production of external web and print communications and events. Plans, produces, publicizes and measures external and donor events. Develops meaningful public relations, communications and recognition strategies to guide external understanding and support of targeted initiatives. Edits all external relations communications and maintains archives. Coordinates closely with communications staff and ensures communications, accessibility and brand compliance with University standards. Coordinates the ECE External Advisory Committee meetings, minutes and follow-up. Enters data into the VIP system, researches donors and constituents and runs various donor reports using VIP. Manages invoices, financial tracking and accounts reconciliations for the group. Maintains the constituent database and mailing list maintenance. Manages and coordinates calendars for the group. Coordinates Senior Design program and event logistics. Develops corporate relationship tools such as strategy plans, proposals, and engagement/impact reports. Serves as liaison to College, University and department staff, faculty and students on corporate, alumni, donor, and stewardship efforts. Participate in special activities and projects, as assigned. Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant development support experience. Demonstrated experience of successful donor support and successful event coordination/management. Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining a multi-media website and print communications, including experience presenting complicated information in a concise, readable and graphically pleasing way. Strong organizational and project management skills. Exemplary constituent service and communications skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, meeting team goals, objectives and deadlines. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure and manage details of several concurrent projects. Ability to coordinate and follow through on projects both collaboratively and independently. Strong computer skills including desktop, Internet and online systems, email marketing programs, MS Office suite, and Drupal. Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to develop proposals to foundations and other formal funding agencies. Demonstrated ability to prepare presentations. Proficiency in VIP, Imodules, SharePoint, graphic design, social media and SEO strategies. Four years of recent experience in fund raising/development and a proven track record of successful donor support and management in a higher education environment, with UT experience a priority. Four years experience with event coordination and proven track record of successful event management. Working knowledge of university policies and procedures, preferably UT Austin. Ability to grow position into coordinating programs and/or portfolios.
