Additional Information


Provide service level administration and support for enterprise level services within the Shared Campus Services group in ITS, focusing on Windows based services, such as Exchange, Austin Disk, and other related services.

Essential Functions

Support Enterprise Microsoft Exchange 2010 messaging service. Support Cloud based Office 365 Messaging service. Work with Project team to perform migrations from Exchange 2010 to Office 365. Support CIFS share implementation at UT (Austin Disk). Server Administration.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Possess a broad knowledge of software development and operating system principles including application server configuration and operating system scripting. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills with both non-technical and technical users. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently. One year of software development or system administration. Production experience with at least two computer programming languages. Demonstrated two years of experience supporting Enterprise level Microsoft Exchange implementations. Demonstrated two years of managing Windows based services such as AD, MSSQL, DFS. Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and solve issues related to Exchange and other Windows based services. Ability to implement solutions to problems of a diverse scope in regards to messaging services, including data analysis to identify root cause and contributing factors. Experience writing and presenting documentation for a technical audience describing problem, solution, and work efforts in various scenarios. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with modern configuration management tools like SCCM. Experience with Server Virtualization. Experience with Disaster recovery and Business Continuity planning and implementation. Experience With Iron Port appliances for email security. Bachelor's degree in related field.
