Manages a team of web developers and site administrators in the development, deployment and maintenance of Drupal platforms. Ensures the projects supporting these efforts are delivered, meeting schedule and quality commitments. Recruits, hires and supervises team members to meet the changing needs.

Essential Functions

Manage team of web developers and web service administrators in the successful planning, development, deployment and sustainment of enterprise wide applications and services. Balance workload of team members among multiple work efforts to leverage strengths and interest of members, while meeting project deliverable requirements. Lead efforts to standardize practices with respect to Drupal website development and deployment within the department, mentoring team members in consistent practices. Ensure deliverables from 3rd party vendors meet quality and maintainability requirements. Create and maintain roadmaps of services to support financial, staffing and professional develop planning efforts. Provide consistently excellent customer service to all customers.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. One year experience in technical personnel management in a higher education or enterprise environment. Experience in systems design, analysis and programming or developing Web-based applications, including experience developing sites in Drupal. Experience in the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Python or PHP) environment. Demonstrated initiative, recognizing what needs to be done and responding in an effective and timely manner. Demonstration of successfully managing projects, leading teams while meeting deadlines and quality objectives. Demonstrated ability to be flexible and creative when presented with challenges. Demonstration of strong listening and customer-facing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, in a team oriented environment. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years of experience of developing Drupal sites in a higher education or enterprise environment. Over two years of experience in technical personnel management in a higher education or enterprise environment.
