As a member of the ITS Applications Web and Contract Services Team, individual will support the UT Austin community in administration and support of software services by providing appropriate technical solutions and documentation. Applies campus security and accessibility standards to all work efforts.
Administer and maintain enterprise web-based services, applications, and developer tools. Troubleshoot and provide problem resolution to peers and users on the use of web applications and web publishing technologies. Research, analyze, and deploy services or tools targeted to support and improve the web publishing infrastructure. Create and maintain end-user and services documentation. Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the web publishing infrastructure. Sustain and improve application and software processes to ensure all products exhibit excellence in robustness, availability, security, and data integrity. Ensure compliance with applicable policies on the UT Austin website usage, security, accessibility, and web standards. Keep current with web technologies, languages, development standards and trends.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Two or more years of experience in customer support in a Higher Education environment. Two or more years of experience of Unix system administration on a shared Web hosting environment. Experience using or serving as an administrator of an enterprise wiki platform, preferably Confluence. Experience creating and maintaining end-user or systems-maintenance documentation, preferably on a wiki platform. Experience supporting customers using Content Management Systems (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, etc.). Two or more years of experience programming in PHP. One or more years of experience programming in Perl or Python. Experience with automating the provisioning, configuration and management of systems and applications. Experience with one or more of the following: Google Analytics, Zenoss, Splunk. Experience with one or more of the following: Jenkins, Puppet, Fabric.
May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity Work performed on concurrent multiple projects under pressure of rigid deadlines or time limitations. May require occasional extended work hours or on-call obligation.
