Standard office hours are 8AM to 5PM but may vary depending on the needs of KUT. This position may require working on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
To develop and implement a comprehensive annual plan for soliciting, securing and stewarding Leadership Circle and major gifts for KUT and KUTX. Assist with strategic collaborations in support of content and special project initiatives. Serve as an integral part of KUT's membership and major giving program.
Develop and execute annual fundraising plan to increase contributions and maintain stewardship of KUT(X) Leadership Circle members. Assist the Director and Associate Director of KUT in the identification, planning and soliciting of major donors to fund priority special project initiatives for KUT - including working with UT Gift Planning staff to identify and strategically cultivate Planned Giving donors and prospects. Lead, plan and participate in major donor events locally, regionally and nationally as needed. Supervise administrative support, volunteers, and contractors as needed. With Director and Associate Director of KUT, participate in and produce case development for initiative funding and to set fundraising goals and objectives. Participate in Strategic Planning process for KUT and KUTX. Provide regular reports on fund raising results and prospect management to KUT management. Maintain appropriate electronic documentation on a timely basis, including tracking and contact reports. Work with other university development professionals and the University Development Office to coordinate development activities and projects in complete accordance with university development policies. Collaborate with UT development professionals to maintain collegial working relationships. Participate in appropriate University development meetings and events.
Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Bachelor's Degree. A minimum of 5 years in major gift fundraising with 10 years overall experience in prospect management, donor cultivation and solicitation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collegial, team-oriented unit. Previous experience working directly with donors and volunteers. Strong understanding of major donor cultivation and protocol. Experience planning and implementing comprehensive annual fundraising strategies. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively, work well under pressure, and effectively manage details of several concurrent projects. Strong interest in public broadcasting and its case for support. Proven track record of successfully meeting revenue targets through both prospecting new and upgrading existing accounts. Superior interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong computer skills. Excellent professional demeanor. Willingness to embrace the organization's priorities and style. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Public broadcasting fundraising experience preferred. Allegiance donor database experience a plus. Experience in annual fund planning and execution preferred. Experience promoting or securing planned gifts. Working knowledge of UT Austin's structure, policies and procedures and VIP database. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments when accomplishing fundraising goals.
