As a member of the ITS Applications Web and Contract Services Team, perform testing and test planning for web applications, using issue identification and analysis, project management, and business analysis skills to identify and document testing needs throughout development, deployment, and maintenance.
Perform full range of testing for web applications, across multiple overlapping projects. Identify and isolate defects in both expected and unanticipated system scenarios. Work with requirements documentation and development or maintenance teams to identify and document the detailed functional expectations for systems. Create and maintain test case, test plan, and test report documentation, following documentation standards. Communicate technical details with a wide range of stakeholders, including software developers, system administrators, and non-technical business users. Identify system testing needs based on a high-level system concept. Plan and manage quality assurance efforts, including oversight of other testers.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. At least one year of experience testing and evaluating software against requirements. Experience performing at least three of the following types of testing: functional, browser and mobile device compatibility, usability, accessibility, performance and load, and system failure / disaster recovery. Demonstrated experience developing and documenting software test cases, test plans, and test reports. Firm understanding of web application architecture. Demonstrated creative problem solving skills and ability to conduct research independently. Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively, in a team oriented environment. Demonstrated excellence in communication, in both written and verbal formats. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines consistently, across multiple tasks and projects. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Five or more years of experience in testing and evaluating web applications. Five or more years of experience developing software test cases, test plans, and test reports. Experience leading test teams. Demonstrated experience creating formal project management documentation. Experience with automated testing and testing tools. Software development experience. Familiarity with UNIX commands and scripts.
