Provide career advising, instruction, and job search assistance to Working Professional MBA students (Houston MBA (primary) plus Texas Evening MBA, Dallas/Fort Worth MBA, Executive MBA and Mexico City MBA programs).

Essential Functions

Essential functions Individual career advising with graduate business students in Houston and other MBA programs for University Recruiting, Experienced Hire positions, as well as internal promotion. Advising meetings to be held during the day, evening, and during class weekends. Will involve travel to Austin, Dallas, and throughout the Houston metro area. Develop, implement, and supervise programming to educate and train students about MBA career search strategies and tools. Teach career workshops and seminars to small and large groups. Develop and deliver regular career services communications and updates to students through website, email, presentations, webinar and other methods such as social media. Develop new resources to prepare students for career advancement. Provide on the ground support for all McCombs MBA career events in Houston (advising, mock interviews, site visits, information sessions, career fairs, networking receptions, alumni events, etc.) Market Working Professional MBA students to employers for campus recruiting and experienced hiring opportunities. Proactively work with prospective employers to generate interest and awareness of students from all MBA programs and to facilitate hiring, networking, and career development of the students, especially in the Houston metro area. Develop new and strengthen existing relationships with employers and alumni recruiting graduate business students and alumni. Bus Dev will involve some cold calling and travel. Desire and ability to work collaboratively with the Employer Relations team on corporate outreach, including employer development in Houston, meeting with key accounts, and developing corporate relationships both for recruiting purposes and to promote the McCombs' WP program and brand. Planning and coordination to support employer events in the Houston market. Market the program to prospective students in Working Professional MBA Admissions events, including an active presence at Admissions information sessions and special sell events in Houston. Work with Executive Education to provide enhanced sales and revenue opportunities for both open enrollment and custom programs in the Houston area when meeting with corporate clients and/or alumni. Have knowledge of Executive Education's suite of services and ability to assess any openings for continuing educational opportunities at corporations and to refer vetted contacts to the Exec Ed team.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Master degree in business, education, counseling, or a related field. Five years of professional experience in career services or a human resources role performing a variety of corporate recruiting, career employment activities, Leadership Development, or Succession Planning. Demonstrated excellent oral and written presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Professional demeanor. Excellent teamwork/collaboration skills. Exceptional attention to detail and editing ability. High level of attention to student tracking and advanced ability to work independently. Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to take initiative on projects. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications

MBA degree. Prior MBA recruiting or MBA career services experience. Experience with Executive or Working Professional MBA programs. Extensive knowledge of MBA level job search skills and recruiting processes. Extensive business experience in fields and industries highly sought after by current MBAs. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with MBA students, alumni, faculty, staff, and recruiters from a remote location. Familiarity and experience with distance learning methods and technologies. Experience with Blackboard/Canvas and/or Symplicity/MBA Focus. Data analysis skills in Excel, such as working with pivot tables. Prior experience presenting to large groups. Prior admissions, sales or business development experience.
