General Notes

Standard office hours 8:00-5:00 (flexible depending on program operations). Attendance at evening socials and field trips required. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Additional Information

Purpose

Coordinate and administer all UT OLLI programs and staff and assist the Thompson Conference Center Director with program promotion, fundraising, long range planning and special projects.

Essential Functions

Hire, train, supervise and evaluate all UT OLLI staff. Conduct weekly OLLI staff meeting. Ensure office workflow is updated and staff are meeting expectations of completing work flow. Monitor all UT OLLI program activities to meet membership and curriculum goals, financial responsibilities, and social aspects of the programs. Monitor enhancements and maintenance of CAMPsite database. Meet with individual members to address any program concerns. Attend and support all program Executive Committee meetings. Staff and coordinate OLLI Advisory Council meetings twice a year. Update the UT OLLI Framework of Operations as needed. Promote volunteerism and support member satisfaction. Maintain frequent interaction with University departments, Austin area influence groups and local experts to maintain a strong pro-bono faculty and UT OLLI presence. Expand the scope of program curricula based on ongoing campus and community resource research. Incorporate innovative ways to enhance UT OLLI curriculum. Work in conjunction with UT OLLI Curriculum coordinator to provide curriculum committees with measurable additions to their programming. Attend and support all program Excellence Committee meetings. Update governing documents and forms as needed. Encourage innovative ways to enhance quality learning and social experiences with Excellence Fund grants and purchases. Promote best practices among programs. Develop Collaborative Work Days and all-OLLI programming to enhance programs and develop the UT OLLI brand. Develop opportunities to expand impact of UT OLLI programming and expand reach of other life enrichment program to UT OLLI members. Assist TCC Director with short and long term programming. Serve on TCC leadership team. Facilitate program needs with TCC business office. Serve as liaison to the Osher Foundation and meet Osher Grant/Endowment agreement responsibilities. Evaluate program member philanthropic capacity and promote ongoing financial support of UT OLLI.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Flex schedule as needed to meet program needs. Other functions as assigned.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and seven years of responsible level experience in program administration or program coordination. Experience with managing and coordinating volunteers. Supervisory experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in developing adult education curriculum.
