Additional Information

Purpose

This position will support the K-12 Strategy, Policy and Services team with common program management functions including management of timelines, milestones, hand-offs, documents, calendaring, internal meeting creation, project plan development, as well as online and print resource development and event management.

Essential Functions

Create and manage against intricate project development timelines using a proven and easy to use a program management software package, including organizing and maintaining various electronic files and creating and leading regular in-person and virtual program management meetings with project leads, both internal and external to the organization. Coordinate external events including registering participants using CVENT or other online event coordination and management software. Support business development functions with communications to clients regarding logistics. Provide additional team support, including communications between program and operations teams. Interface with the communications team on general updates and social media engagement. Attend weekly team meetings and prepare wiki team meeting formats. Produce web update forms for the Webmaster. Participate in processes and activities designed to establish an organizational culture that supports learning, collaboration, and collective responsibility in order to enhance professional relationships, job satisfaction, and organizational effectiveness.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelors degree and three years experience in program or project management. Applicant must be organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing her/his time. This position will require attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills, and excellent judgment. A proactive team player with demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written English, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents; strong proofreading and editing skills, including consistency of format and style. Experience coordinating events and using web-conferencing services. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP Certification and expertise with one or more program or project management software programs. Experience in education, including classroom teaching or coordinating an education program. Knowledge of Cvent, WebEx, Zoom, Smartsheet and advanced features of Microsoft Office components such as features in Excel.
