To provide clinical assessment, examination, and when possible, treatment for women with complex gynecologic conditions.

Essential Functions

Conduct patient evaluations and appropriately triage specialty care as needed. Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing for patients by following the designed evidence-based clinical care pathways. Participate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient care. Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, physical therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and other stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, value-based approach to patient care. Ensure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of healthcare services to patients. Educate medical students, OB/GYN residents, fellows, and faculty through grand rounds presentations, multidisciplinary case presentations, and/or one-on-one clinical mentorship. Support and participate in research initiatives within the clinic. Participate in critical evaluation of patient care to ensure that the program continues to improve and evolve in its care pathways.

Required qualifications

Master's degree in nursing, science, or equivalent degree and a minimum of three years' experience as a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant. A license to practice in the state of Texas. Three years' experience in providing OB/GYN care. Requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-physician practice environment; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients. The Dell Medical School is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to diversity and excellence within the learning health system. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in nursing, science or equivalent degree and five years of experience in treating persons with complex gynecologic conditions. Bilingual in English and Spanish.
