Develop self-paced and instructor-led curricula and job aids based on measurable learning objectives for operational and front line employees including trade technicians. Develop training strategies that enable SMEs to deliver training to a diverse group of employees to increase their effectiveness and efficiency.

Essential Functions

Using best practices in curriculum design and development as well as adult learning, work collaboratively with leadership, internal support staff, subject matter experts (SMEs) and other UT departments to develop and produce a wide variety of effective and engaging training tools for delivery to operational and front line employees. Front line employees include trade specific positions such as plumbers, electricians, material handlers, and landscapers. Develop and conduct train-the-trainer workshops and one-on-one development sessions for SMEs for the purpose of enhanced training implementation and delivery. Coordinate the production, delivery, and tracking of training activities and materials in areas such as project milestones, budget, resource time and logistics. Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and materials to ensure that objectives are being accomplished. Provide the Training Manager of Facilities Services Support biweekly updates on all projects. Identify accomplishments and areas in which there are opportunities for improvement. Keep abreast of new developments in pedagogy and instructional technology concerning subject areas and research on how people learn.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Master's degree in instructional design, educational psychology, curriculum and instruction, education, or English. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Two years of applicable experience including the practice of using a blended approach to learning for adults, and using e-learning authoring software. Adept at managing multiple projects and demands with informal authority. Commitment to service, respectful engagement, and continuous improvement. Interpersonal skills that promote team building, collaboration, transparency, and a culture that principally measures effectiveness in terms of others' success. Demonstrated proficiency in writing operational procedures. Attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for past 36 months. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of applicable experience. Demonstrated ability to design and produce blended and online instructional materials and technologies for a variety of learning tasks, learning needs, and learning environments. Experience and proficiency with Articulate360 or other e-learning authoring software. Experience producing e-learning using a variety of visual and interactive design strategies. Knowledge of current best practices in instructional design, assessment and instructional technology. Experience developing and delivering train-the-trainer programs. Experience with LMS administration.
