General Notes

Position is assigned to support UTHS. Work hours require consistent start time, but start and end time may be pre-arranged with supervisor for start time between 730-9am and end time between 4-6pm. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.

Implement organized systems at UT High School for exam processing and scoring to ensure consistency and timeliness in supporting school district Credit by Exam requests. Train staff on grading processes and facilitate distribution of work tasks to support timely grading and reporting.

Essential Functions

Score exams for students enrolled in Credit by Exams, including posting score results in a secure database. holistically score high school standardized written tests. Coordinate with specialists to implement and monitor scoring processes and systems. Develop and facilitate training for current and new employees on grading policies, processes and procedures. Prepare training materials for grading processes. Participate in developing and implementing rubrics and scoring system processes by coordinating with curriculum specialists. Prepare exams for grading and scanning. Assist with exam processing, including entering orders into a secure database and preparing exams for district partners. Order and maintain exam and shipping materials. Implement processes for archiving materials in accordance to University policies. Assist with processing and invoicing for bulk exam orders. Enter orders in a secure database and prepare exams for district partners.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Assist the overall UT High School organization with program needs and cross-train to support a variety of programs during peak times with customer service communication and data processing tasks. Other functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field. One year experience grading and scoring educational assessments in a K-20 educational organization. One year of clerical and customer service experience. Ability to create documents using word processing skills, including generating spreadsheets. Experience entering data in an online system. Demonstrated ability to complete projects by deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Education or a closely related field. More than one year experience grading and scoring educational assessments in a K-20 educational organization. More than one year of clerical and customer service experience. Knowledge of online testing requirements and best practices. Texas Teacher certification in elementary or secondary subject area. Ability to provide online support, including technical assistance in implementation of online exam testing. Experience processing data in online registration system, processing payments, keeping records, and generating reports. Experience training or preparing materials for training staff.
