Assignments are non-benefits eligible. Work hours may vary depending on the assignment requirements. Location is mainly on campus but some will be off campus. ONLY competitive applicants selected will be contacted and provided with instructions on the continued application process to enter the active UTemps pool.

Additional Information

Purpose

To recruit applicants into the current UTemps pool. Those in the pool, when matched and selected, will fill in as temporary employees whenever a University department requests temporary support.

Essential Functions

Provides basic to complex temporary support for any given department within the University at any given time in diverse job titles. Provides specific skills and experience to support University departments per request.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

NOTE: THIS POSTING IS TO RECRUIT NEW APPLICANTS AND PRIOR UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEES INTO THE UTEMPS POOL. High School graduation or GED. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Experience multi-tasking. Experience with detail-oriented procedures. Experience following instructions. Experience providing excellent customer service. Experience working independently and as a team member. Must have interpersonal skills. Must be dependable, reliable, responsible, motivated, resourceful and versatile. Must have the required education, skills and experience in order to perform the specific temporary assignment successfully.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years or more of experience performing the specific skill or experience of the temporary assignment. Bachelor's degree. Proficient experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access and Outlook applications. Experience with Web browsers. Capable of working in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Demonstrated ability to work with confidential documents and maintain confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail. Professional demeanor. Experience with UT systems (DEFINE, HRMS, etc.).
