This position requires travel throughout the state of Texas as well as ongoing weekend and evening work to support instructors and course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines. May be required to work evenings and weekends during critical times.

Additional Information

Purpose

To lead efforts that ensure fidelity of implementation of specified OnRamps courses through the four pillars of OnRamps and to coordinate a high-level of instructional and professional development service and support to OnRamps Instructors.

Essential Functions

Lead OnRamps course staff to successfully support OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars. Provide guidance and coaching, allocate and oversee work, manage work schedules, and promote career-growth opportunities. Work with course staff to develop and implement interventions as needed. Design and use data-driven approaches to ensure ongoing staff growth and program improvements. Support the ongoing implementation and facilitation of the OnRamps coaching cycle with the goal of providing direct and targeted assistance to Instructors by using the OnRamps coaching menu available for Instructors in Canvas and other virtual coaching media. Support course staff implementation of coaching strategies. Develop and lead projects relating to instructional support, course implementation, and in-person and virtual coaching under the direction of Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation using the OnRamps project management methodology. Coordinate and monitor facilitated network and associate programs for community of OnRamps Instructors. Develop innovative strategies to promote online and in-person community of learning and knowledge exchange within OnRamps community. Coordinate selection of OnRamps Instructor of the Year Award under direction of the Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation. Support the development of a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors by leveraging social media and technology to provide just-in-time support via online, telephone, and in-person communication and lead virtual conferences. Support the Assistant Director of Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation as assigned, including support to special projects that increase opportunities for fidelity of course implementation. Apply standard evaluation procedures to analyze data and monitor, evaluate, and document course, student, and Instructor outcomes through recurring issue tracking and reporting. Utilize data to apply principle of continuous improvement to special projects relating to Instructor support and professional development. Utilize adult learning and cognitive learning science theories to contribute to and assist with the expansion of online modules and courses to increase success of Instructors in course implementation.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Provide exceptional customer service to OnRamps Instructors and key stakeholders.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education, STEM content area or closely related field. Experience leading teams to meet goals and strategic outcomes. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact. Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach. Demonstrated understanding of HS teaching and learning. Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS. Demonstrated ability to teach oneself new things, develop mastery, and adjust to rapidly changing needs within an organization. Five years clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level. Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers or related groups. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral degree in STEM content area or closely related field. Experience developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery. Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities for students and/or teachers.
