Additional Information

Purpose

Provide exceptional customer service for Human Resources as the first point of contact for employees, retirees and applicants who need assistance or problem resolution with benefits, retirement, leave management, employee relations, employment, compensation, records, on-boarding, training and other related HR areas.

Essential Functions

Contribute to daily team operations of the HR customer center in which employees, retirees and applicants receive high level, helpful, and congenial HR customer service assistance and/or direction in person, by phone, or by email on HR related questions and issues. Work effectively with customer service center and other HR team members in a team based environment in order to provide customers with high level customer service. Perform specialized work and respond to requests, which includes employee benefits data entry and related reports, employment eligibility verification (I-9) and e-verify, criminal background check administration, verification of employment and other on-boarding activities. Serve as a subject matter expert to provide advanced assistance regarding the online employment application process, to include employment testing and the temporary employment program. Utilize all available HR informational resources and customer issue tracking systems to efficiently and timely handling of HR inquiries which includes benefits, retirement, employee relations, leave management, employment, compensation, records, on-boarding, training, and other related areas.

Marginal/Incidental functions

May be assigned special projects. Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

High school graduation or a GED, plus four or more years of experience working with human resource processes. Demonstrated- customer focus, timely decision making, interpersonal savvy, problem solving, effective written and oral communication. Ability to work in a positive, team-oriented environment. Demonstrated professional demeanor. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize priorities, and work with deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. High degree of accuracy and demonstrated attention to detail and provide information to accurately resolve customer inquiries. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals without direct supervision. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree. Experience in a fast-paced, high volume human resources customer service setting providing problem or issue resolution in a quick, concise, and accurate manner. Specific working experience in benefits, on-boarding processes, and/or human resources related matters. Fluent in speaking and writing Spanish.
