Additional Information

Purpose

The Clinical Services Spec will oversee the quality of service provision by partnering with local program administrators on implementation of best practices in assessment, mental health services, care coordination, continuity of care, and transitions

Essential Functions

Oversees the planning for implementation of new clinical service models or evidence-based practices across system of care communities. Coordinates with treatment developers or certified trainers to ensure adequate clinical training and supervision/coaching to achieve high-quality implementation. Provides technical assistance and/or facilitates learning communities to support system change across multiple communities. Engages with families, youth, and community stakeholders to assess the quality of services and supports and identify opportunities for improvements. Coordinates or engages in the assessment of treatment fidelity according to standard measurement practices. Uses national and local performance data to identify opportunities to improve quality and monitors the impact of change strategies. Develops or supports the development of policies and procedures and other tools to guide service implementation.

Required qualifications

Master's degree in social work, psychology or related field and licensed as a professional mental health provider. At least 3 years providing direct services to adolescents and young adults. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of systems of care and the mental health system in Texas. At least 2 years experience providing supervision to behavioral health providers. Experience with one or more evidence-based treatments.
