Support the lifecycle of multiple short- and long-term projects for OnRamps, an innovative dual-enrollment initiative, pursuing excellence in all aspects of project delivery.

Essential Functions

Manage day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects related to OnRamps operations, products, communications, and inter-institutional and -departmental initiatives according to established project documentation methodology. Gather requirements; write project plans, status reports, and other project documentation; procure and allocate all resources; manage risk management processes and project evaluation and closure; schedule, facilitate, and document minutes of project meetings. Establish and maintain positive and productive relationships with program staff, University faculty and staff, contractors, vendors, and customers, providing outstanding customer service to all stakeholders. Manage communication mechanisms. Monitor and facilitate diverse inter- and intra-university project teams, documenting, mitigating and resolving team conflicts. Contribute to projects outside of the role of Associate Project Manager, as needed. Develop templates, review documents, conduct quality assurance and user testing, and perform other tasks as needed to ensure project success. Provide phone and virtual customer service and technical support to students and instructors participating in the OnRamps program. Provide administrative, clerical, technical and event support for special projects as assigned.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Participate in weekly staff meetings, staff training, and collaborative process improvement.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Five years' experience in project or program management in an enterprise or educational environment. Demonstrated success at leading multiple projects concurrently under pressure of deadlines and evolving requirements and stakeholders. Demonstrated strong customer and team communication skills. Excellent written, verbal, and graphic representation of ideas, processes, and requirements. Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet deadlines. Demonstrated experience creating project documentation, including process mapping, schedules, budgets, communication plans, and test plans. Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to teach oneself new skills and technology and rapidly adapt to change in high-pressure environments. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than five years' experience managing projects in an enterprise or educational environment. Experience providing direct, high-volume customer service and support in multiple modes of delivery. Experience with project-management tools, e.g., Smartsheet; Customer Service Systems, e.g., Zen Desk; Learning-Management Systems, e.g., Canvas.
