As a member of the leadership team, provide strategies to increase communication and advance the mission and vision of the Charles A. Dana Center.

Essential Functions

Partner with the Executive Director and Dana Center leadership to support the long-term organization strategy and financial health of the Dana Center, optimizing a healthy combination of entrepreneurship and opportunism alongside a focused pursuit of strategic goals. Develop and execute a core marketing and communications strategy that includes, crafting a cohesive identity and promoting the Center's products, programs, and services to achieve goals and improve financial health. Establish and oversee strategies for the Center's fee-for-service model, ensuring high-potential clients are prospected, secured, and managed to meet annual targets to foster growth, stability, and sustainability. Design and implement systems to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to measure effectiveness of marketing; communicate findings to drive internal learning and course corrections. Supervise and support direct reports, ensuring they continue to gain skills, professional development, and experience in preparation for larger roles, promoting a culture of collaboration. Embrace and model an asset-based approached to leadership and organizational development that promotes trust, resilience, optimism, and confidence by focusing on opportunities rather than problems, strengths more than weaknesses, and what can be done instead of what cannot. Participate in processes and activities designed to establish an organizational culture that supports learning, collaboration, and collective responsibility to enhance professional relationships, job satisfaction, and organizational culture.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Bachelors degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field. Ten (10) or more years of experience in developing strategic communications and or marketing plans supported by short and long-term goals to monitor progress and success. Five (5) or more years of experience in supervising a staff of two or more. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor; ability to communicate effectively in verbal or written forms with diverse groups. Strong management skills and ability to prioritize work under dynamic circumstances, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and operate successfully in a multitask environment. Proven track record of sales success. Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Proven design and creative direction experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field. Seven (7) or more years of experience in supervising staff. Experience in education and or non-profit sector. Experience with marketing and communications software such as MailChimp.
