Support social media and communications efforts for the National Deaf Center on Postsecondary Outcomes.

Essential Functions

Working either individually or as a part of a team, brainstorm, research, write, and post unique and strategic content across multiple platforms. Create content that advances communication efforts of the National Deaf Center for a variety of audiences. Create compelling and engaging written, visual, and multimedia posts and stories. Generate analytics reports and provide recommendations to improve visibility and reach. Oversee projects and implement plans to engage target audiences. Participate in regular meetings to pitch and develop story ideas. Identifiy potential communication opportunities of interest. Keep informed on current information and allied activities being conducted elsewhere.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelors degree. Three years of professional experience in social media, communications, marketing, or related creative industries. Intermediate proficiency in American Sign Language. Clear and effective communication skills. Professional demeanor. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Five years or more of professional experience in social media, communications, marketing, or related creative industries. Advanced proficiency in American Sign Language.

Working conditions

May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity Constant exposure to flourescent lighting in a windowless office environment. Occasional overnight travel.
