Additional Information

Purpose

Primary role will be as a developer of new web applications and a simulations system operator.

Essential Functions

Engineer new functionality and fix bugs in ARFAM products - Produce correct code for ARFAM projects in accordance with project best practices. Participate in code reviews for the ARFAM project and conduct all other development tasks as assigned. Support Simulation Medical Data Server training events and New feature development for the Simulated Medical Data Store project.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Master's degree and no experience or Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer and information science or other applied sciences. Three years of applied research experience. Experience developing in Java. Experience working with network design, virtualization, provisioning, and cloud hosting. Linux and Windows administration experience. Experience using distributed version control and project management systems in a team environment. Possess a broad knowledge of software development and operating system principles including application server configuration and operating system scripting. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills with both non-technical and technical users. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently. Must be a US citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with evidence of strong Java programming experience. Experience working in Javascript and Python a plus, Experience working with Spring Framework, Django, or other RESTful web technologies. Experience with Apache Maven, Git. Experience with database deployment and Continuous Integration technologies a plus.
