This position will provide technical assistance to communities related to enhancing family voice, provide coaching to family members to enhance their leadership and participation in state and local systems of care and guide team members.

Essential Functions

Oversees the provision of technical assistance to communities and agencies related to enhancing family voice and participation. Participates in local, state and national meetings and forums to represent family member perspectives related to empowerment, recovery, resiliency and leadership development. Provides or oversees training activities related to family engagement, advocacy and leadership to enhance the role of family members in driving system changes at the state and local levels. Oversees the provisions of technical assistance to communities and agencies related to enhancing family voice and participation. Provides support to a statewide network of family leaders to build state capacity for family leadership, advocacy and engagement in system improvements. Leads the planning and organizing of family-related events, workshops and conferences. Participates in regular project management meetings and provides strategic counsel and assistance related to family involvement to the team. Maintains expert knowledge of national and state initiatives related to family member participation and leadership.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five years of responsible level experience in program coordination. Experience navigating one or more child-serving systems as a caregiver of a child with mental health needs. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting the System of Care framework. Experience working with youth, consumer and/or family member organizations.
