Purpose

To support efforts and ensure fidelity of implementation of the OnRamps Art and Entertainment Technologies and Computer Science course and to coordinate a high-level if instructional and professional development service and support to OnRamps Instructors, other UT Sponsoring Department, and UT Faculty.

Essential Functions

Provide 1:1 instructional, professional development, and technical service and support to OnRamps Instructors across the state to ensure fidelity of implementation, teacher growth, retention, and satisfaction in the OnRamps four pillars. Monitor, evaluate, and document course, student, and instructor outcomes through recurring issue tracking and reporting. Use standardized relationship building strategies to cultivate and lead a facilitated network of OnRamps instructors within the assigned course subject-area through yearlong, ongoing professional development activities by maintaining weekly engagement including virtual meetings, in-person site visits as needed, resource sharing, and weekly newsletters in close collaboration with the Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation. Execute course curruculum with fidelity. Identify challenges for implementing the curriculum with Lead Faculty and Course Development team and pro-actively offer solutions to improve the end user experience. Monitor curriculum implementation via the Canvas Learning Management system to ensure fidelity to the pillar of college-aligned content. Implement effective and consistent communication strategies and tools aligned with the OnRamps marketing materials to coordinate the delivery of the OnRamps course curriculum. Develop and maintain strong relationships by providing exceptional customer service with professionalism, positivity, tact, and decorum. Co-develop and implement annual professional development institutes for the OnRamps course instructors in close collaboration with the course Faculty Lead/Liaison, and OnRamps Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation including coordinating Canvas training and support for the OnRamps Instructors. Work in close collaboration with the Course Faculty Lead, the Instructor of Record, Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Implementation, Assistant Director of Enrollment Services and Strategic Operations, and OnRamps to develop and/or enhance the curriculum and technology tools for the OnRamps course using data-driven strategies and via a continuous improvement cycle. Ensure the grading mechanism approved by the Instructor of Record is executed with fidelity including grading and/or supervising grading of college eligibility and college credit assignments, spot-checking, and other intensive assessment activities. Under the directio of the Assistant Director for Instructional Innovation and Curricular Innovation of the OnRamps Director, support designated special projects that advance the course-specific program using the OnRamps Project Management Methodology.

Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.

Required qualifications

Master's degree in music, fine arts, or closely related field with an emphasis on technology. Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS. Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact. Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach. Demonstrated understanding of high school teaching and learning in music, fine arts, and technology. Five years clinical or teaching experience at a high school or college level. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree in music, fine arts, or closely related field with an emphasis on technology. Experience in music composition. Experience developing curriculum, preferably for online delivery. Experience developing and delivering professional-development initiatives for high school teachers. Experience developing and maintaining online professional learning communities for students and/or teachers. 2+ years teaching experience in music, fine arts, or closely related content area at a high school or college level.
