Member of Middleware and Common Apps team maintaining and supporting campus administrative Enterprise Middleware infrastructure and services.

Essential Functions

Provide operational support as part of the middleware technical team, including debugging and system analysis, Windows Application and Systems administration, investigating issues, programming as needed, and maintaining servers and virtual machines for the Document Management applications in a complex, tiered computing environment. Responsible for Application Server patching, installs, configurations, and other required application level components for IT Document management and image capture applications; maintain server requirements and application configuration based on 3rd party vendor manuals. Configure, maintain, and interpret application performance monitoring platforms; work with other ITS teams to recommend application service improvements based on data. Ensure all products exhibit excellence in robustness, availability, security, data integrity, and failure tolerance; configuration and management of application web servers. Provide customer support and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, including personal interactions, phone calls, voice mail and email. Includes stewardship of highly visible technical projects. Ensure application and system quality by preparing and maintaining documentation for all deliverables, including life cycle plans, support team, and application site manuals. Validate, test, and document product and software version releases; evaluate new upgrades based on release notes, manuals, and forums. Contribute to team standards and process improvements.

Required qualifications

At least three years experience in software development, systems analysis, or systems administration within a complex, multi-tiered IT environment. Production experience with full stack application support; develop in Test, Qual, Prod environments; high availability, two factor authentication, load balancing, disaster recovery and rollback. Demonstrated technical and functional knowledge of assigned systems and in the overall Electronic Content Management field including distributed architecture: web tier, application tier and database tier support. Working knowledge of Windows operating system principles and scripting. Proven experience with vendor relationship management; elicit requirements to deduce solutions from manuals and implement best practices. Production experience with authentication, LDAP, SSL certificates and adding user accounts for end users, application level firewalls, GPO, and package management.Strong written and verbal communication skills with both non-technical and technical users. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines successfully. A strong sense of responsibility and rigorous attention to detail. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Four or more years of software development, systems analysis, or systems administration within a complex, multi-tiered IT environment. Master's degree. Experience with Document Management tools including scanning and imaging. 2 to 4 years actively serving in a Documentum Architect/Technical Lead Role. Understanding of the Documentum Product Suite including Document Management, Web Content Management, Digital Asset Management, Records Management, and Collaboration. Professional experience with IT architecture design. Previous system administration experience preferred. Experience with Mainframe environment.
