Responsible for coordinating all phases of recruitment, admissions, and graduate program activities.

Essential Functions

Work with co-graduate admissions and program coordinator to coordinate the life cycle of admissions and student affairs programming for the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Create and maintain electronic records, student degree audits, files, statistics, and databases/spreadsheets on prospective and current students. Compile graduate student data reports, surveys, and statistics, and perform program analysis. Recommend design and implement procedures that result in program improvements. Serve as the contact for the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS). May be responsible for, or assist with, various projects and committees. May participate in professional conferences and individual professional development activities. Recruitment: Create and execute a series of recruitment activities/events/webinars, to include traveling as needed. Communicate with prospective students to discuss the various requirements, degree programs, deadlines, funding, and opportunities. Update and maintain the LBJ School website content. Admissions: Facilitate the applicant file review process and notify students. Serve as the LBJ School contact for the Graduate and International Admissions Center. New Student Affairs: Coordinate and facilitate administrative matriculation activities of graduate program, including new student orientation, registration, and handbooks. Student Affairs: Interface with students, faculty, graduate advisors, and other university offices regarding student issues and communicate the university and department rules and regulations. Inform faculty of graduate student progress.

Marginal/Incidental functions

Follow university and LBJ School's protocols for document retention and destruction. Other related functions as assigned.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Strong database management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively both independently and within a group. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
